The Firm

Engineering built for the Keys

Founded in 2015 by licensed PE Will Campbell, Campbell Engineering Consultants was built on a single premise: structural and marine design in the Florida Keys is its own discipline. Saltwater, hurricane winds, FEMA flood zones, and Monroe County's review patterns aren't generic Florida problems — they demand a local practice with deep fluency in the code, the climate, and the contractors who build here.

Since then we've sealed plans for more than 6,500 projects — resort-caliber residences, waterfront docks, seawalls, pools, and the commercial build-outs that keep the island economy running. The through-line is the same every time: drawings that are precise, code-compliant, and designed to perform in the environment they're built for.

From our office in Marathon at the heart of the Keys, we serve every community from Key Largo to Key West — and increasingly, projects beyond the island chain that need the same standard of coastal engineering.

Meet Will Campbell, P.E.

Licensed engineer. Keys resident.

Will Campbell is a Florida-licensed professional engineer (PE #79269) and the president of Campbell Engineering Consultants.

Sixteen-plus years of field experience — spanning building construction, marine construction, and engineering — gives Will a constructability lens most desk-only engineers never develop. That lens eliminates risk during design and cuts rework during construction, which shows up on drawings as cleaner details, sharper specs, and fewer surprises in the field.

Background

Will began his career with an international marine construction company, working on domestic and international projects — including builds in Aruba and The Bahamas. He has since contributed to projects for the Monroe County Board of County Commissioners, the Tampa Port Authority, and the Alabama State Port Authority.

Before founding Campbell Engineering Consultants in 2015, Will served as a project manager for a general construction firm, running commercial and government building projects throughout Monroe County. That field-management background still informs every drawing he seals today.
